Can you handle the Truth?

I tell you the truth, I am the way, the true, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. For truth is not in the eyes of the beholder, it is in Me, and only through Me can you receive the Spirit of Truth. Today, I am bringing forth the fire of truth to those who draw near to Me. For the refiners fire is not trials and tribulation, but the fire of truth which consumes the works of the enemy. Submit all to the fire of the Spirit of My truth and you shall know My Spirit of Truth, and He will make you free.

1 Corinthians 3:12-15

If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

Commentary

This prophetic word states the absolute quality of truth. Truth is what God says and He will be the ultimate judge of what is truth, and what is not. In this world today, there are many opinions and religions. But there is still only one truth. The particular truth referenced in the beginning of this word is from:

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

This statement is not a statement of religious preference, or religious in-tolerance, it is truth. Unless you believe this, you will not spend eternity with Jesus:

John 8:24

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am [the one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your sins.

Therefore this word is both a warning and an invitation. For we have been given the Spirit of Truth to reveal God’s truth to us and this word says that He, the Holy Spirit, is testing the beliefs of His Church. This word compares His truth to fire is used to test both the beliefs and works. The invitation is to submit what you believe to the Holy Spirit and let Him test it with the fire of truth. For His word to us is:

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Therefore, this prophetic word says that we can claim John 16:13 as His word and invite the Holy Spirit to test our hearts and beliefs now, so that we Jesus soon returns, He will find us free from the deception and lies of the enemy.
