Moved with Compassion

I am calling out a people to know My ways, to trust Me, and to walk in obedience. These are My sheep who love Me with all of their hearts. These are My children in whom I have entrusted My gospel, my truths to be made known to those who have yet to know me. I am giving them My heart for the poor, for the lost, for the downtrodden. They will take these truths to those that are perishing.

Go forth My children and show My glory, for it will be found in My compassion.

“Moved with compassion” - To be moved with a deep compassion or pity

The Greeks regarded the bowels (splanchna) as the place where strong and powerful emotions originated. He Hebrews regarded the splanchna as the place where tender mercies and feelings of affection, compassion, sympathy, and pity originated.

It is the direct motivation for at least 5 of Jesus’ miracles

Matthew 14:14 - He healed their sick

Matthew 15:32 – The people were hungry and He fed the multitude with loaves and fish

Matthew 20:34 – He opened the blind eyes

Mark 1:34 – He cleansed the leper

Mark 6:34 – He taught them because they had no shepherd to teach them

Luke 7:13 – He raised from the dead the only son of a widow

Luke 15:20 – The compassion of the father brought forth forgiveness and restoration to the prodigal son
