Favor

Today as you choose to serve Me, I will serve you.  For as you find your destiny in My kingdom, you find favor with the King.  This favor is to bless those you care about.  For as you care for what I care about, I will care for what you care about.  Pray for those that need My touch and I will send My angles with the gift.  But know that the gift will be wrapped, and they must still open it to receive it.  Pray they will receive it.

Exodus 20:6

showing love to a thousand [generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments

2 Samuel 12:24

Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The LORD loved him;

1 Kings 3:9-14

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"

The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.  So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for-- both riches and honor-- so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.  And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life."

Commentary

This prophetic word is a promise of favor over your loved ones.  One of the greatest, if not the greatest thing that you can do for your family or anyone else you care deeply about, is to serve God with all of your heart.  Because God will bless you by watching over those that you care about, if you watch over what He cares about.  Consider King Solomon, who received great favor from his birth because of his father David’s love for God.   (2 Samuel 12:24)  Also, when King Solomon asked for wisdom the care for God’s people, God gave him the wisdom, but also blessed him with riches, honor, and a long life.  I believe one of the greatest gifts you can give your children is the favor of God, which He bestows to the generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.
