Life in the Fast Lane

This is the season of a new fast. A fast from the non-productive things in your life. For I am freeing you from the weights and ties that burden you. A new freedom is coming forth to say ‘no’ to the relationships and habits that have burdened you. For it is time for each member of My body to function together by the leading of My Spirit, not the spirits of this world. Let Me be your best friend, your recreation and your reward. Share the goodness and blessings with Me and those that I have joined to you in the body. Be not a burden, but a blessing wherever you are. For this is a season of contrast, a light of My presence in a darkening world. But you are not in darkness, but nourished by the light of My presence. It was for freedom that you came to Me. Live free, and declare a fast from bondage.

2 Timothy 2:4

No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Commentary

This prophetic word is focused on freeing ourselves from personal burdens that you may be a productive part of the body of Christ. As part of His body, you are to manifest His will and be a light of His truth and an expression of His love. But to do this, each member of the body must be freed from burdens that would be a distraction.
