Plan Tomorrow - Live Today

Plan for tomorrow, but live for today.  I am speaking of many things to come that you may see the future, and see your future.  I am readying your steps and preparing for that which will soon come.  Therefore you can have peace, knowing that you are ready for what is to come.  I am calling you to order and reorder things in your life.  Purge and prune that which is unfruitful.  I am preparing you for tomorrow, so that you can have freedom today.   For I know what is coming, and I am keeping you prepared so that you will not be distracted.  For My body must be fit and ready for the season ahead.

Matthew 25:10-13

But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!'

But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Revelation 19:7

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Ephesians 4:11-12

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

Commentary

This word encourages us to let the Lord prepare us for the things to come.  The Holy Spirit knows what is to come and wants to prepare us so that we may be ready.  Matthew 25:10-13, shown above, shows that not being ready can have catastrophic consequences.  This is further confirmed in Revelation 19:7, shown above.  Any bride understands the need to be ready and prepared for her wedding day, especially if she does not know exactly when the groom will come for the wedding.  Therefore, we should seek God’s revelation on His plans and calling for our life, and seek His help in preparing for what is to come, whether it be good or bad.

The last part of the prophetic word indicates that the preparation for things coming will free us from the turmoil of these things so that we can continue to focus of what God wants us to do.  God is joining His body together and each member must be free of distractions to function together as directed by the head, Jesus Christ.  This is revealed in Ephesians 4:11-12.

So while we live in the moment called today, God will share with us the future by His Spirit, that we may be ready for each day, until He takes us away to be His eternal bride.
