Jacob’s Ladder

Can you feel the energy? Can you sense the movement in the Spirit? Open the eyes of your spirit and see the angels going to and fro. For as Jacob saw the angels ascending and descending, so you can see the activity increasing between heaven and earth, between the King and the Kingdom, between you and Me. Pause from the distractions of the world and look to Me. For these are the days of your visitation, and you don’t want to miss what is about to happen. For you are receiving power to be My witnesses to this world. The gates of heaven are opening, so tune in and be energized. For I am about to speed up the action.

Genesis 28:10-13

Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Haran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.

John 1:49-51

Then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." Jesus said, "You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that." He then added, "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

Commentary

This prophetic word indicates that a lot of activity is happening in the Spirit. There are two scriptures referenced here that show a similar scene. One was with Jacob from the Old Testament, and the other from Jesus in the New Testament. In both cases, the situations seem to confirm a covenant and show affirmation from God. So I believe that God is saying that something great is happening, and that God will affirm His chosen. Also, the word indicates a pouring out of His Spirit and an increase of spiritual activity.
