The Good Shepherd

The Kingdom is a buzz with words and expectations.   My people are running to and fro across the earth to share My words.  Am I building a network to pour out My Spirit, or running a concert tour?  Know that in these days, you must decrease and I must increase.   I desire for My people to come to Me, not to you.   Therefore encourage and honor others as they seek Me for themselves.  Should My church be a movie studio or a sheep farm?   Feed My sheep and teach them to hear My voice, not yours.   I am coming back for a harvest and the quality of the flock will determine the reward of the shepherd, not how much the sheep honor and depend on him.

John 10:27

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me

Commentary

This word distinguishes the good shepherds from those that are not taking care of the sheep.  The key comes from the words, “I desire for My people to come to Me, not to you.”  This means that there are shepherds that are not teaching the sheep to hear the voice of the Lord, but instead are teaching them to hear their own voice.  The question of “Should My church be a movie studio or a sheep farm?” asks if the church should be entertaining the church as an audience, or growing a herd of sheep that will know the voice of the true Master and follow Him.  The Lord is then saying that the reward of the shepherd is based upon the quality of the sheep to hear His voice and do His will.  Unfortunately, many seem to believe the honor of the congregation toward the minister means that he is doing a good job.
