Management 101

To manage a successful corporation, you must hold successful briefings and meetings. Meetings bring direction and focus to the work at hand. Meet with Me and meet with others who I have brought into the work. Get direction from Me and develop your strategies together with others. For each person is a member of My corporation, My body, and each person is a member of a team. Seek your place of communion. Is not communion a discerning of My body, My corporation?

Know that I hold a daily staff meeting, and you are invited and have a place at My table. Choose you this day whom you will serve, and then serve.

Corporation

The word "corporation" derives from corpus, the Latin word for body, or a "body of people." It is defined as a group of people combined into, or acting as, one body

1 Corinthians 11:17-20, 28-30

In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval. When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat. . . .

A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.

Commentary

This prophetic word is about meeting together for God’s purposes. He uses the word ‘corporation’ which I have shown above with its definition. From its definition you can see that God has many corporations and one conglomerate corporation as the body of Christ. I believe this word relates to specific small bodies of people that God assembles for specific purposes, similar to a business corporation. In most corporations there is a common purpose, a structure, and a named entity that can be identified which includes all the current members. As corporations have members, God’s body also has members as He says in Ephesians 5:25 that we are members of His body. I believe that God forms these ‘bodies’ that we may work together as a team.

The last part of this word compares meeting together as taking communion sacrament. I did not understand this until I read the scripture in 1 Corinthians 11, shown above. When you read verses 17-20, it sounds as though Paul is talking about a business meeting. But as you read on he concludes this passage with the comment “When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat”. He is chastising them that they are to be sharing the Lord’s supper. The Lord’s supper is also called communion which connotes communication as in a meeting. Could it be that the sacrament of communion is actually a meeting of God with His body. The verse “For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself”, seems to say that we should honor the Lord’s sacrifice and discern that we are His body coming together for His work. Paul emphasizes in this passage that bread is his body broken into pieces which in some way could also symbolize us as a member of the body, a piece of the loaf. In this way, eating together shows that we are His body and we should show proper respect for God and for each other. It is also interesting that this ends chapter 11 of 1 Corinthians, leads into chapter 12 about the body of Christ and the different parts and gifting. I believe God wants to reveal much more to us about how His body is to work together in these last days.
