Jesus is the Light of the World

As I was driving home today from the Care Mission (the drive is about 30 minutes in the middle of nowhere), this great darkness filled the sky and covered every square inch of it. It looked like the scene in The Wizard of Oz where I wasn't sure if a tornado was stirring or lightening was going to come crashing down at any second. It was eerie and quite scary. Most of the drive consisted of rain coming down so hard you could barely see five feet in front of you and many cars had pulled off to the side. As I finally made it to my exit, the most amazing view of the blue sky appeared over the city, above the dark clouds. The sun was shining through in what appeared to look like a window in between this sky of darkness so that I could see there was still light in the middle of the day. Then The Lord gave me this Word...

"I am above the darkness, I am higher than the murky clouds and storms that you see and are in. I have always been there, You just don't always see me. I am the light, I am the (Son/Sun) that shines in the middle of the storms and if you will come up here with me, you will rise above it. You will see clearly and you will hear clearly because there is light. For I am the light of the world, and you shall be my light. The invitation is yours." (Says The Lord)

Definitions of light:

1) The natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible.

2) An illuminating agent or source, such as the sun, a lamp

Psalm 18:9 "He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet."

Genesis 1:4 "God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness."

Genesis 1:15 "'and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.' And it was so."

John 8:12 "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."

Ephesians 5:8 "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in The Lord. Live as children of light.

To finish it all off, a few months ago I had a prophesy spoken over me that said:

"You will walk through the things that are heavy, and God will give you a revelation in the middle of the clouds and the storming around you, you will say 'God I know you are with me, I'm going on through, I'm heading through because this is not going to keep me down."
